It has only been two months since WAPHome came online and already the site boasts that 50% of all WAP Phones delivered to South Africa are connected to the site. Waphome provides you with the ability to access data from the Internet, make decisions and transact immediately from a mobile platform. According to Gavin Penkin, this is what a mobile society is demanding.
WAPHome has increased its content provider base to include the services of many of the top corporate leaders in their fields. For example; NBS Financial Services; BoE Share Portfolio`s; Old Mutual Unit Trust transactions and DHL Parcel Tracking. From an infotainment perspective users can locate information regarding hotels, restaurants and movies.
" The beauty of WAPHome," says Gavin Penkin, "is the ability to personalise the content available on WAP equipped cellphones."
In the light of all its successes WAPHome, as a leader in its field, is hosting a dedicated WAP technology conference, which will bring corporates, individuals and other interested parties up to date with WAP technology advancements. The conference runs over two days from June 6 to June 7 and will explore the technical, commercial and marketing elements of WAP.
Waphome is a specialist mobile Internet content facility on the internet launched in March 2000 in association with major content providers such as SABC, Info Africa and others. It is rated as one of the premier WAP sites in the world with over 500 content sub-headings.
