As part of their corporate programme of contributing Baby Days to the Cotlands Baby Sanctuary through the recycling and environmentally-friendly disposal of used printer cartridges, Lexmark recently hosted a golf day, the outcome of which resulted in the provision of 950+ Baby Days being added towards the total of 5 000 Baby Days being targeted by Lexmark for the 12 months following the launch of the initiative in April.
"It was unfortunate that we chose what turned out to be the coldest day in September for this event," commented Hans Horn, MD of Lexmark International SA.
"However, the warmth of the generosity of the participants more than made up for the chilly weather, and our objective of boosting our numbers for this initiative were handsomely met.
"It is very encouraging to see this CRIB programme running ahead of schedule," said Horn. "At our current rate of progress, we could well achieve our target by year-end."
