ASYST International SA today announced its results for its last financial year that closed on 30 April 2004. Turnover increased 57%, profits more than doubled and the staff headcount grew by more than 45%.
However, the figures alone do not do justice to the past year`s performance. During the past 12 months the core business that is oriented around Access Accounts gave rise to the UK principal awarding ASYST International SA the `Overseas Dealer of the Year` Award on the back of the many new business deals. These included clients such as Citigate, Deloitte (East Africa), Fugro Airborne Services, MCC, Minopex, NIC Instruments, Ogilvy & Mather (Kenya), Protekon (100 concurrent user site), SAEL, Siemens (Kenya) and Turner & Townsend being added to its rapidly-growing user base in both SA and Kenya. A large .NET project was also undertaken at Dowding Reynard and Associates.
Apart from the above, the last year also saw the launch Isometrix, the locally developed environmental software that is installed within many of the local mining operations, including De Beers and Anglo Platinum and the appointment by Business Objects as an enterprise partner, following the latter`s acquisition of Crystal Decisions late last year. The Business Objects/Crystal Decisions successes included companies such as Absa, Anglo Platinum, arivia.kom, Cheiron Health, Eskom and RMB.

We now have a host of reference sites and have established ourselves as a strong technical company focused on providing great solutions. The demand upon our skills was such that our development team increased by 60% last year to handle this situation."
