What`s happening with the second suspect?

Conflicting reports are emerging about the MSBlast.F author in Romania. In a report from Eweek, police deny reports that a man has been detained, but confirm they are investigating a suspect, whom they decline to name.

Reuters reports that a 24-year-old Romanian, reported by a Romanian infosecurity company as the man arrested, may get 15 years behind bars - the maximum prison sentence in cases such as the one in question.

PeopleSoft details layoff, product plans

PeopleSoft has detailed to analysts its plans to digest the recently acquired JD Edwards, confirming its intention to lay off up to 1 000 workers while keeping the JD Edwards` product line intact.

CNet reports that PeopleSoft executives, speaking to a hall of analysts in New York yesterday, said the company will maintain the mainframe and client-server versions of JD Edwards` software and its own set of applications as three distinct product lines. Under the plan, JD Edwards` products will be renamed PeopleSoft World and PeopleSoft Enterprise One respectively.

Computer meltdown

US government regulators have warned nuclear plant operators about computer failures caused by infections, disclosing disruptions of two internal systems in January at a "shutdown nuclear power plant" in Ohio.

Salon.com reports that the government confirmed that two important systems, a safety parameter display system and the plant process computer, at Davis-Besse were knocked offline for several hours.
