Where to get an iPhone 4S

Johannesburg, 15 Dec 2011

As of tomorrow (16 December) the iPhone 4S will be available from MTN and Vodacom.

At the beginning of the month, both operators confirmed they would be making the next-generation iPhone available to their customers. Customers have been able to pre-register through the Vodacom and MTN Web sites.

Final pricing information will only be officially released when the handsets become available tomorrow.

The iPhone 4S broke all previous iPhone sales records when it went on sale in seven countries on 14 October. Apple sold over four million handsets over the first weekend.

The roll-out of the iPhone 4S has been the fastest iPhone roll-out to date, and Apple promised the new device would be available in an additional 70 countries by December.

The iPhone 4S has a dual-core A5 chip, new camera with full 1080p HD resolution recording, and AI software in the form of Siri - an intelligent voice-activated assistant.

Vodacom has provided a list of Vodacom outlets at which the handset will be available, and says it will also be available from Makro, Incredible Connection, Dion Wired and the iStores.
