Dell recently held an 'Around the world' competition which required participants to SMS the word 'Dell' to a short code and register for the competition on the Dell mobisite. Debbie Windell is the lucky winner of a trip valued at R50 000.
Windell will embark on an 18-day cruise to Genoa, Italy, with her husband and two sons aged 10 and three. The family will also spend a night in Nice, France.
"This holiday truly is a blessing and couldn't have come at a better time. It is especially exciting as it is our first time out of the country. We opted to use it on cruise as this caters for the kids and the fact that we dock everyday, will enable us to see as many different places as possible.
“When I first got the call, I almost didn't answer as it was after 17:00 and from a private number, however, when it rang for a second time, my son Joshua said that I should answer as it may be important.
“The person from Dell was extremely helpful and professional, and the competition and trip was so well organised that all we have to do is pack a suitcase for our dream holiday," said Windell.
The Windell family departs for their vacation in May 2011 when Debbie will be celebrating her birthday.
