Wonderware unveils IntelaTrac upgrade

Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, has unveiled Wonderware IntelaTrac version 3.2, the latest version of its mobile workforce and decision support system, says Centre Daily.

The Wonderware IntelaTrac system includes configurable software and rugged mobile hardware solutions that enable workflow, procedural and general task management capabilities focused on plant operations, maintenance management, production and applications.

The Wonderware IntelaTrac system is designed to accelerate and sustain operational process improvements and is a key component of an effective operational management system.

Pegasystems adds software layer

Pegasystems has built a software layer on top of its business process management engine that makes it possible to replicate a process instance and deploy it to a separate business unit, states Intelligent Enterprise.

The add-on layer to PegaRules Process Commander, which is the core of Pegasystems' BPM suite, makes it possible to define and host multiple instances on a single box for lines of business, departments, merged companies or other internal clients.

Each replicated instance includes the same single sign-on, schema, integration component and any other object of the original. The idea behind the add-on is to make it possible to re-deploy processes without having to install a separate BPM engine.

SAP invests in Newgen

SAP Ventures, a division of SAP AG, has invested in Newgen Software Technologies, a New Delhi-based software product company, for a minority ownership, reports Market Watch.

"Newgen has created a very compelling product for automating workflows and for managing business processes of enterprises in various market segments, which has enabled the company to have significant year on year revenue growth," said Jai Das, an investment partner at SAP Ventures.

The company will use the proceeds to fund continued growth, including product development and acceleration of global expansion plans, particularly in new geographies across the world.
