Emerging PC manufacturer, Aopen, and the company`s official South African distributor Rectron have introduced the latest addition to the XC Cube range of cube-shaped PCs, the EA65, better known as the XC Cube AV.
The XC Cube is small - no bigger than an ordinary toaster - easy to assemble, easy to use, and time and space efficient, making it an essential part of every household`s entertainment environment.
Indeed, the new XC Cube AV offers TV, Recording, DVD/VCD, FM Radio, MP3/CD music, Video Clips and Photo View functionalities, all packed into one cute-looking appliance.
"We believe that the XC Cube AV is the ideal marriage between the desktop PC and an entertainment centre and represents a new generation of PCs," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.
"What more do you want than a small, easy-transportable PC that is not only functionality-rich but also looks futuristic."
The XC Cube also offers two modes: Instant Mode or Windows Mode plus packs quite a punch as it features, among others, Intel`s Hyper-Treading Technology, Gigabit LAN and Vivid Bios.
Also, AOpen`s SilenTek technology ensures the XC Cube`s fan speed is automatically monitored and adjusted by a "noise killer" mechanism. It also reduces the power supply`s loading and counters system over-heating.
The XC Cube AV also features front access USB, Audio, 1394 and SPDIF for easier PC peripherals usage.
