Xerox Channels Group (XCG) has announced the DocuPrint C11 personal colour inkjet printer as a further indication of its intent to increase its share in the inkjet market. Angie Samuel, marketing manager at XCG SA, says the C11 has been designed for the home small business user in mind. "We expect that with the strong market of the Xerox brand, the DocuPrint C11 colour inkjet will be exceptionally popular in the and mass market," she says.

"Xerox is traditionally known for its mid-range and high end printers but we see the retail and SOHO markets as a major growth area."

The C11 is a 10 (monochrome) and five (colour) page per minute inkjet that produces laser-sharp black, for impressive business or personal documents. Its colour printing capabilities allow it to produce high-quality reports and documents from the Web as well as graphics applications.

The Xerox DocuPrint C6 features a full one-year warranty and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.

The C11 delivers photo-realistic printing and has an intelligent colour print driver with pre-configured job settings. The printer also has a separate print head that lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO). "Xerox desktop printers are designed to meet the needs of individual users or a small group of users in a shared environment, while ensuring consistent and quality reproduction," she concludes.
