Xerox Corporation and Solimar Systems, Inc. have expanded their relationship by signing an agreement that allows Xerox to market and support the complete line of Solimar products.
Solimar Systems develops production print servers used across a range of Xerox digital products, including network printing systems, laser printers, production printers and multifunction systems. "When Solimar Systems` innovative line of servers are combined with high-performance Xerox printers, customers get more flexibility and greater productivity than ever before," said Harvey L. Huddleston, vice president and general manager, Alliance and Partner Management, Xerox Global Solutions Group. "Add to that our trademark service and support, and you have a group of products that are the best available."
The key product in the company`s line is the Solimar Print/Director System NT, a Windows NT-based print server that offers connectivity for a wide variety of host computer systems and conversions between popular print data streams. The Print/Director System NT is commonly used by Xerox customers around the globe to convert PCL/PostScript documents to print on LPS printers, and to convert Metacode/DJDE/Line Printer documents to print on IPS, NPS and DocuSP printers.
