Xerox Channels Group (XCG) has announced its DocuPrint N4025, a cost-effective, high performance laser printer suited to a networked environment and large size workgroups.

"It is capable of handling busy networks with its 266 MHz controller which features the kind of performance architecture that delivers improved results in both simplex and duplex modes," explains Angie Samuel, GM of XCG. "The printer is ready and has built-in support for 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet."

At a speed of 40 pages-per-minute (ppm), the N4025 is feature rich and available at the same pricing as 32ppm machines currently available in the market. "It provides input and output flexibility, production-level paper handling and numerous finishing capabilities that will satisfy the most demanding of workgroups," adds Samuel. "When it comes to truly large jobs, the standard Automatic Tray Switching and Load while Run features enables virtually non-stop printing."

Clients are able to customise their printer thanks to a variety of options, such as a 2500 sheet high capacity feeder, 100-envelope feeder and 2000 sheet finisher/stapler. "Electronic forms can be created, modified and stored for printing with variable , which is further enhanced by 1200 dpi (dots per inch) laser imaging, ensuring maximum readability and image quality."

The N4025 allows user to manage a variety of printers on the network. Should a problem occur, the MaiLinX e-mail alerts are able to send a message or even a page to designated personnel that are able to intervene before it impacts productivity.

"The CentreWare Internet Services let you manage your N4025, from anywhere, while the Xerox PrinterMap software provides you with a single view of all SNMP-based printers on the network," adds Samuel. "In large corporate environments you will find a few printers, within one department alone. The kind of manageability that is offered with this product really simplifies the entire printing and collection process."
