Xerox, the global digital printing company, will have its biggest stand ever at the Cape Computer Faire to be held at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town between 18 and 21 September 2002.
Says Mehmet Sezer, marketing director for Xerox South Africa: "Xerox`s full range of document solutions will be on display at the faire and we hope to create some excitement with two new products which will be on display. This includes the recently launched Phaser 6200 and 8200, and a sneak preview of the Document Centre 2240/2060.
The Xerox Phaser 8200 solid ink colour printer and the Xerox Phaser 6200 colour laser printer are designed to fuel the migration to colour in the office by offering cost and print quality advantages. The Xerox Phaser 8200 and 6200 use single pass technology, which enables a printer to deposit all colours on paper in one pass, rather than the four passes required by traditional colour laser printers. This means colour printing is now an affordable reality for offices of every size.
The Phaser 6200 has a powerful 300MHz processor that allows for a first page out time of 9 seconds, as well as speeds of 16 pages per minute (ppm) in fast colour mode and black-and-white. PC Magazine USA recently named the Phaser 6200 the editor`s choice in its `First Look` review of colour printers.
Visitors to Xerox`s stand will also get a sneak preview of the new Xerox DocuColor 2240. The new colour multifunction system delivers low costs, fast print speeds and image quality that will accelerate the migration from black-and-white to colour in the office and among quick-print shops. The system print, copy and scan, expanding options for managing colour documents in paper and electronic form. The system shares the same easy to use, high-productivity features, with print speeds of 22 colour and 40 black-and-white pages per minute on the DocuColor 2240, and 16 colour and 32 black-and-white on the DocuColor 1632.
The DocuColor 2240 will be officially introduced to Xerox`s channel at the `Colour 4 Success` event, to be held in Johannesburg in October 2002.

* Xerox WorkCentre 320, a 20ppm compact device offering exceptional digital quality in copying and printing.
* Xerox X2/Synergix, from the Synergix Digital Solutions, Xerox`s new line of scaleable large-format digital solutions that offer industry-leading image quality and modularity.
* Xerox DocuPrint 65 provides a user the ability to distribute and print on demand, as well as advanced printer and job management at the controller.
* Xerox`s document sharing software, DigiPath, DocuShare and Flowport.
