Xerox gives multi-tasking the digital advantage

Xerox Channels Group (XCG) has announced its latest multifunction solution for copying and laser printing - the 12 cpm/8ppm WorkCentre XD120f that also features improved paper handling capabilities and output quality.

"Companies requiring a combined copying and printing solution are often faced with a trade-off between print and copy quality, and price. Although the cost and space saving features of MFD`s need not be expanded upon, technology improvements such as those in the Xerox WorkCentre range deliver laser quality printing as well as the added detail and depth of copying," says Angie Samuel, marketing manager for XCG SA.

"It is now possible to combine reproduction and copying in a single device without having to make a sacrifice in terms of output quality - as is typically the case with analogue solutions that use the inkjet motor for copying," she says.

The XD120f delivers 12 copies per minute and 8 pages per minute Windows printing with true 600 x 600 dpi resolution. It also includes convenient front access for copy and print delivery, a 30-page set document feeder as well as two paper trays to deliver a 500-sheet total capacity.

The Toner Save Mode allows users to save up to 50 percent of toner usage, and separate drum and toner cartridges also provide for optimised supplies usage. The WorkCentre 120f can accommodate a variety of media types such as A4 paper, envelopes, transparencies, labels and card stock.

"Xerox has also improved the WorkCentre with a greater zoom reduction/enlargement range and reliability is optimised by having fewer moving parts. Convenience is always a consideration: the copier/printer comes ready to print with a drum cartridge and starter toner cartridge included," says Samuel.
