Xerox looks to data management

Global technology giant Xerox says it is spreading its footprint across a slew of businesses that include business process outsourcing, document management processes and IT outsourcing, reports Hindustan Times.

The change in track for Xerox comes at a time when data usage is growing at a fast pace across the globe. Xerox's new businesses comprise services such as billing electronic toll collections to a driver's credit card, processing, travel and expense accounting, data centre, network and server support, among others.

The company expects telecoms, banking and insurance to be its key revenue driving sectors in India, along with manufacturing, public sector and retail.

Government eyes K2 for efficiency

Workflow and business process management (BPM) software maker K2 is gaining momentum in the North American government sector, states PR.com.

K2 offers a complete software platform for enterprise business processes, building SharePoint workflows, and integrating Microsoft solutions into SAP and other line-of-business systems.

“Federal agencies know they need to do more with less, yet they're struggling with current workflow tools that aren't able to meet these new business needs,” John Martin, K2 federal sector director, says. “Agencies now require affordable systems that can automate, manage and improve mission-critical business applications.”

Invensys Skelta, a BPM and advanced workflow solutions provider, has partnered with Zillion-e, writes India PRwire.

This is to strengthen their network in the Sri Lankan region. Zillion-e is a technology-based enterprise-wide business applications and solutions company.
