Xerox refreshes Nuvera line

Xerox has unveiled additions to the Nuvera portfolio of printers, says Market Watch.

The Nuvera portfolio includes 10 productivity and finishing options, designed to streamline production in black-and-white printing jobs, such as manuals, brochures, booklets and calendars, allowing print providers to take on a wider range of jobs.

"Xerox leads the worldwide high-end black-and-white market with more than 75% of all production class cut-sheet shipments," says Angele , IDC group vice-president, imaging/output document solutions.

InfoPrint releases inkjet platform

InfoPrint Solutions, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, have released the InfoPrint 5000 MP, writes Melodika.

The inkjet printer supports three speed points for low, medium and high volume printing needs. The device is compatible with the existing full-colour models of the InfoPrint 5000 platform, and is able to use a variety of inks and fluids in various configurations.

"With the InfoPrint 5000 MP, a customer can easily reconfigure and re-purpose capital assets, protecting investments as needs change over time,” says George Promis, vice-president of production inkjet solutions and technology alliances, InfoPrint Solutions.

Printware unveils chemistry-free CTP

Printware has unveiled a chemistry free polyester computer to plate (CTP) system, according to WhatTheyThink.

The system includes the PlateStream CF4 platesetter and PolyStream CF plate. The technology incorporates clean-out technology, which lowers the maintenance of the systems.

"Our goal was to develop a ground-breaking chemistry-free polyester CTP system with a high quality drum imager and chemistry-free plate that would deliver on both of these objectives," says Jack Makowski, vice-president of business development, Printware.
