XON now an APC Elite Partner

Johannesburg, 31 May 2011

XON has achieved Elite Partner status in APC by Schneider Electric's channel partner programme.

XON, which designs, builds, operates and manages information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, will use its new status to raise the level of service it brings to customers.

“This equates to heightened access to the latest APC infrastructure and data centre product offerings,” says Gerhard Dreyer, director of infrastructure at XON.

“Elite Partners also have access to APC's international and local design teams, which enhances our ability to comprehensively design solutions with accurate bill-of-materials. In addition, staffers will have direct access to training programmes that help build competencies around APC solutions, which will better prepare them for resolving customer issues.”

Training, says Dreyer, is divided into two paths: sales and engineering. The sales path builds proficiency in sales expertise in order to recognise the customer's business challenge, detect and define the customer's needs and overcome any objections. Engineering training from APC provides XON with best practices, technical know-how and the latest breakthroughs in conceptualising, designing and implementing critical power and cooling solutions for customers.

APC by Schneider Electric's VP for southern Africa, Paolo Miglietta, says XON customers will also reap the benefits of this elevated status.

“With access to competitive pricing and to APC's support infrastructure and design teams, while knowing that XON employees have undergone APC training courses, which are compulsory in maintaining Elite Partner status, customers will be given true peace of mind when dealing with the company and APC products.”

He says that APC has enhanced its channel partner programme to help partners like XON build a solutions-focused power and cooling practice, with increased knowledge and expertise and the tools to differentiate themselves from the pack.

“APC is more committed than ever to helping its partners turn market challenges into new opportunities, by offering innovative solutions that are easy to sell and the training needed to support these sales,” says Miglietta.
