ZMI unveils HD aerial video

ZM Interactive (ZMI) has unveiled a high definition aerial service that provides high-definition (HD) video for organisations seeking full experience recordings, live video feeds and photography to its selected markets, states Iewy News.

Utilising fully regulated, high quality, computer controlled aircraft, the ZMI service provides for a wide range of precise camera angle video feeds ranging in altitude from inches to hundreds of feet with exact location accuracy, says the publication.

“Our innovation includes leading edge GPS technology allowing us to take full control of the video viewing at the sequence, altitude and speed of our client's choosing,” says Ziv Marom founder and CEO of ZMI.

Xtranormal charges for cartoon tools

Animation Web site Xtranormal - whose cartoon-making tools have spawned viral videos of cuddly puppies debating such topics as quantitative easing and the iPhone in stilted monotones - is no longer offering free, unlimited use of its tools, reports Channel 5.

The change reflects the higher costs of running Xtranormal as the site's popularly grew. More than two million people now use its simple moviemaking tools, up from about 500 000 in June.

According to Xtranormal, those users have published about 9.3 million videos so far. Some of the videos have received thousands or even millions of views, further boosting Xtranormal's popularity and usage.

Toshiba creates glass-free 3D laptop

Toshiba says it has created a prototype for a glasses-free 3D laptop, says Venture Beats.

According to the publication, no company seems to have this technology so Toshiba may have an edge on rivals if it brings the machine to market.

Toshiba has designed the laptop with the same kind of screen it has used in 3D TVs on sale in Japan.
