ZTE helps BASE Company to develop its 3G network in Belgium

ZTE Corporation ("ZTE") (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has announced that the 3G network supplied and developed by ZTE for BASE Company is the fastest 3G network in terms of uplink and downlink speeds in Belgium.

The assessment was made by Commsquare on the three mobile operators in Belgium during Q4 2013. Results are based on drive tests of 4 400km with 4 100 data service tests. The test results ranked BASE's 3G network as first in the average uplink and downlink rates, surfing/Web session success rate and fast accessibility to the network and services thanks to high performance of dual carrier feature for download and enhanced uplink feature (2ms TTI).

BASE Company, a Belgian subsidiary of Royal KPN N.V., is one of the three major mobile operators in Belgium. In 2012, ZTE became the exclusive 3G supplier for BASE Company to upgrade and modernise its 3G existing network. The newly-built 3G network provides excellent performance to drive user growth. In addition, as exclusive 4G&EPC supplier, ZTE helped BASE Company to launch LTE services in 15 cities since 1 Oct 2013. Today about 4.4 million Belgians are covered by 4G.
