Unite against paper

Unite, a student accommodation provider in the UK, is setting up new IT systems to streamline a previously paper-based, time-consuming process for handling rental-related business, reports Public Technology.

Interwoven will power the company`s growing online accommodation management system, which will enable customers to complete paperwork via a self-service application on the company`s Web site; empower business users to more quickly and easily launch new marketing initiatives; and automate previously manual Web content update processes.

Unite selected Interwoven ECM solutions for Web content management, extranet management, and digital asset management. The company purchased Interwoven`s content distribution software and will implement the technology with the assistance of Interwoven partner Perot Systems, a technology-based solutions provider with offices around the world.

SynXis uses Leonardo to get richer

Leonardo has developed a digital asset management platform for SynXis worldwide, reports Hospitality Net.

SynXis is the technology source for more than 7 000 hotels, bed and breakfasts, resorts, and destinations and uses RedX distribution management system to consolidate and manage hotel inventory from all sources.

Leonardo will provide a rich content repository and distribution system that will allow centralised production, ownership, management and distribution of rich-content for all of the properties using their RedX distribution management system.

Leonardo`s ASP digital asset management electronic solutions are designed to simplify the management and optimisation of interactive rich media content, the automation of image distribution to travel channels, as well as the creation and delivery of e-marketing promotions and e-brochures across large travel organisations.

RedDot new version

RedDot Solutions announced the availability of new versions of its Web content management Software, RedDot CMS 6.5, and content delivery and application integration software, LiveServer 2.3, reports Content Wire.

The new versions aim to extend usability, deliver more relevant content, and make site administration more flexible, say the developers.

New integration of RedDot CMS and LiveServer adds contextual content delivery features to RedDot`s content management system, they say.
