ADVA introduces Ethernet feature

ADVA Optical Networking has introduced a carrier Ethernet feature set for its FSP Network Manager, according to PR Web.

This software platform specifically designed for the Ethernet demarcation space enables service providers to remotely monitor and manage the performance of thousands of network elements, all from a central location.

It introduces technology that enables the automation of network operations, and provides management for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers defined Provider Bridge services, with support for Connectivity Fault Management.

Interop on this week

Interop Las Vegas 2008 runs all this week, featuring about 25% more exhibitors for networking and related technologies than last year's show, states Computer World.

"Interop has been a reflection of the IT industry through the years, we took a hit in 2001 during the dot-com bust but things are improving, especially this year," said Lenny Heymann, Interop general manager.

About 500 vendors, up from about 400 last year, will have booths on the show floor.

Juniper reveals new resources

At the annual Juniper Networks, J-Partner Summit in Las Vegas, the company revealed several new resources for Juniper's J-Partners to help accelerate, extend and optimise their businesses and the value of high-performance networking, according to Business Wire.

Building on Juniper's strategy to enable and promote partner value-add and their brand, the new J-Partner resources will help partners to better design, implement and manage Juniper high-performance network infrastructure solutions.

The new partner resources include the Juniper Networks JUNOSTM Knowledge Transfer Toolkit, the J-Partner Virtual Lab, a new Sales Specialist Advanced course, and a new J-Partner Solutions Configurator.
