ICITP recognition by SAQA and the sectors Professional Certification Programme.

The Institute of Chartered IT Professionals (ICITP) recognition started on the 28th of July 2016 and has been recognised for two information technology professional designation, which are ITCP(SA) Information Technology Certified Professional with a Designation ID 721 & CITP(SA) Chartered Information Technology with Designation ID 722 both of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and both available to all Information Technology Practitioners. http://pbdesig.saqa.org.za/viewProfessionalBody.php?id=1003

The ITCP(SA) designation has been described as an instantly recognisable badge across the media, information and communication technology (MICT) sectors and in organisations of every shape and size in South Africa and Internationally. It demonstrates that you have completed the ITCP (Information Technology Certified Professional) board exam and ICITP's Practical Experience Requirement (PER) and Sets you apart as a Certified Information Technology Professional and shows your commitment to high ethical and professional values and to lifelong learning.

The professional designation progression pathway is as follows, members of the body must firstly acquire the designation ITCP(SA) Information Technology Certified Professional with a Designation ID 721 after being awarded this, then they qualify for CITP(SA) Chartered Information Technology Designation ID 722.

Professional Certification Program (Professional Designations)

The ICT industry faces a critical shortfall of entrepreneurial and business skills and it does not have enough jobs for all of its experienced professionals. Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP)

The ITCP is the entry-level qualification of ICITP, designed to create specialised practitioners in Information Technology whom are practically component and have business skills. The ITCP qualification is focused on practical competency and business skills. The ITCP syllabus covers core business skills such as information management, entrepreneurship, financial management, etc.

Passing the Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) board exam, makes you eligible for the Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) upon meeting the board exam and practical competency requirements.

Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP)

The CITP qualification is designed to create Information Technology Practitioners with high-level managerial skills (C-level Professionals) and the ability to structure and manage a large enterprise. The CITP syllabus covers core high-level managerial skills such as strategic management, enterprise architecture, service management, solution development, implementation, etc.
