Keep the planet in mind with HP inks and toners
Earth Day on 22 April highlights the importance of environmental protection. But protecting the planet should not be a one-day affair, says Drive Control Corporation.
Caron De Fortier, HP Printer and Supplies Business Unit Manager at DCC, said: “Greener business should be a year-round focus. Fortunately, it is possible to run professional, efficient offices and home offices without causing environmental damage.”
HP strives to reduce environmental impact by manufacturing new cartridges by recycling used HP cartridges and other plastics returned via their HP Planet Partner Programme, thereby contributing to a circular economy. One hundred percent of new Original HP Toner cartridges and over 80% of new Original HP Ink cartridges contain recycled content, while HP also voluntarily designs and tests its printing systems to prevent emissions that exceed eco-label guidelines to ensure indoor air quality.
HP has been a pioneer of eco-friendlier printing for some years, having committed over $200 million in 2019 to developing carbon neutral printers and water-based ink technologies to make printing more environmentally friendly and meet the health and safety demands of conscious consumers. HP has also partnered with the World Wildlife Fund on a sustainable forests initiative to support more sustainable printing. Seeking to put the planet first, HP has achieved zero deforestation with its HP brand paper, stepped up cartridge recycling efforts around the world, and is working towards slashing its use of single use packaging by 75% by 2025.
Not only are HP cartridges, inks and toners manufactured with the planet in mind, original HP Ink and Toner cartridges also deliver precision output, page after page, and original HP inks and toners print high quality, fade resistant prints every time.
