Prestige debuts largest screen

Prestige AV & Creative Services will demonstrate what it terms the world's largest projection screen - 120 feet wide with 1 800 square feet of projection surface, says Business Courier.

The screen will be set up from 2 to 6 June in the Duke Energy Centre, in Cincinnati, US, Prestige said in a news release.

The company will demonstrate the screen, which employs eight 15 000-lumen projectors controlled by Dataton's Watchout software, for its client, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Currently in the consulting phase, McCann Systems is working with the architectural firm, Archideas, to incorporate state-of-the-art AV during the design and planning stages of the project.

Visteon, 3M launch X-Wave

With the foundation laid in January 2008 for two Fortune 500 companies to combine their expertise and develop consumer-driven automotive products, Visteon and 3M have revealed a jointly developed project, called the X-Wave Concept, says Trend News.

Using the BMW X5 as the host vehicle, it includes over 50 of the newest technologies designed to improve the driving experience of future vehicles.

Known as human-machine interface solutions, the aim is to make connecting portable devices - such as mobile phones and MP3 players - easier, improve interior comfort, and enhance the visual experience with touch and lighting effects.
