Wintel Distribution, official Brother Distributor for Southern Africa, adds an exciting new product to its already popular colour laser line up.

Johannesburg, 18 Jun 2008

The latest addition, the MFC-9840CDW, boasts all the features of the entry level multifunction model and in addition, offers fully automatic duplex printing, fax sending, copying and scanning as well as wireless networking, iFAX and LDAP support and comes standard with an impressive 128Mb memory.

The Brother colour laser range now available from Wintel, includes three printers, the HL-4040CN, HL-4050CDN and HL-4070CDW as well as two multi function centres, the MFC-9440CN and MFC-9840CDW.

All models boast single pass technology, printing at an impressive 20 pages per minute in both mono and colour at resolutions of up to 2400 x 600dpi, built-in 10/100 Base TX Ethernet and in addition to the standard USB 2.0 interface, include a front mounted USB port and PictBridge support, enabling printing directly from a memory stick or digital camera. With the exception of the entry level models, all models offer duplex printing. The HL-4070CDW and MFC-9840CDW also boast wireless networking capabilities.

For professionals in the small and medium sector, colour printing remains a highly attractive option, creating a more up-market impression and optimizing communication, however decision makers often remain reluctant to switch to colour due to the costs traditionally associated with colour laser printing. The Brother colour laser range challenges this tradition. With low emission levels, user friendly features, the option of standard or high yield consumables and the various warranty options available from Wintel, these attractively designed, extremely cost-effective machines, make colour laser printing an economically sensible option for users in this sector.
