Electronics giant Samsung has introduced a door-to-door repair service for its South African consumers.
In a statement, Samsung SA says the new service provides customers that require smartphone and other device repairs another option to visiting a customer care centre.
This service applies to repairs within 40km of a customer care centre, notes Samsung.
“Many people don’t always have the time to drive to a customer care centre – especially as they juggle both their home and work commitments. Fortunately, you can now opt to have your smartphone picked up from your home or business, repaired and returned with Samsung’s door-to-door service.”
The South Korean electronics manufacturer explains that once the service has been selected, it will arrange a collection time with the customer, adding that the cost of both the pick-up and return of the smartphone is R330.
According to Samsung, the client will be notified when the repair is completed and a delivery time will be arranged.
Paul Croll, service operations manager at Samsung SA, states: “As Samsung, we’re continuously searching for new ways to make life easier. We therefore listened to the needs of our customers and created a first-of-its-kind service in the country. This methodology of innovation and convenience is built into all the products we design, and through our committed service offering, we will continue to put customers first, in exciting new ways.”
For smartphone repairs, the door-to-door service is applicable to the Samsung Galaxy Z (all models), Samsung Galaxy S (all models), Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note (all models), Samsung Galaxy A (all models) and Samsung Galaxy J (all models).
In regards to tablets, it is applicable to all models of the Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab Active.
The service also caters to all models of the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Buds.
