Softline expands product offering with idu-Concept

Johannesburg, 15 Oct 2009

Softline Accpac, the South African distributor of Accpac and Sage business software, has added idu-Concept to its standard price list for customers who need a top-end budgeting solution.

“idu-Concept is a superb complement to our product suite for customers who need to engage non-financial managers in the budgeting process,” says Softline Accpac sales director Keith Fenner. “It is easy to use for people without specialist financial knowledge, and is well suited to our larger clients who need to involve dozens of cost centre managers in their budgeting process each year.”

idu-Concept is a Web-based application that provides easy, effective budgeting and financial reporting for medium-sized to large businesses. The system interfaces seamlessly with Accpac ERP, Sage Line 500 and Sage ERP X3.

“It can be implemented quickly, requires little or no ongoing consulting fees and reduces budgeting cycles from months to weeks,” says IDU MD Kevin Phillips. “It typically sits on top of our clients' ERP solution so that end-users can have access to the budgeting and reporting information they need, in a simple, easy to understand format.”

Phillips says IDU is excited about its enhanced relationship with Softline Accpac. “We have a number of high-profile mutual clients already, so we know that our solutions work very well together in practice. We're looking forward to extending the benefits to a larger body of clients.”

Fenner says idu-Concept is ideal for those of its clients who need enhanced budgeting functionality, especially those with large numbers of users or complex budgeting requirements. “IDU is the specialist in this area and we're very pleased to be able to offer idu-Concept alongside our Accpac ERP, Sage Line 500 and Sage ERP X3 solutions.”
