TechnoChange Solutions is launching a new research unit that will focus on the development of technologies specific to artificial intelligence (AI) and fourth industrial revolution (4IR) solutions. The management team at TechnoChange Solutions felt that it was important to put its resources and efforts into providing innovative solutions for its customers that were geared towards using AI and 4IR to solve customer problems.
“It is our view that in using AI and 4IR, we are going to be building technologies that will provide great customer experience; we will improve and enhance our products; and we will increase collaborative innovation,” said Nkosana Mbokane, the CEO of TechnoChange Solutions.
AI is when machines can learn and make decisions similarly to humans. There are many types of AI-driven machine learning, where instead of being programmed what to think, machines can observe, analyse and learn from data and mistakes just like our human brains can.
This technology is influencing consumer products and has led to significant breakthroughs in healthcare and physics. It has also altered industries as diverse as manufacturing, finance and retail.

4IR is driven by a number of technologies, and the best way to understand it is to understand that is it is driven by AI, which comprises computers that can “think” like humans; blockchain, which is secure, decentralised and a transparent way of recording and sharing data; virtual reality technology, which offers digital experiences simulating the real world; biotechnological innovation, which harnesses mobile and biomolecular products affecting pharmaceuticals and manufacturing processes; robotics; 3D printing; and IOT.
