Cornastone acquires eMsol

Johannesburg, 21 Jan 2005

Black-owned enterprise solutions company Cornastone Technology Holdings has invested in technology integration, acquiring IT service company eMsol to strengthen its footprint in the local HP OpenView solution market.

Cornastone executive chairman Lufuno Nevhutalu says the deal, in which eMsol becomes a subsidiary of Cornastone, makes his company the largest HP OpenView partner both locally and in the European, Middle East and Africa region.

Nevhutalu says Deon Williams has been appointed as MD of the subsidiary. The new division is to be called Cornastone Enterprise Management Solutions and will retain all eMsol employees.

"eMsol has relocated to Cornastone`s offices, not only making it a black empowered company, but its employees now have access to Cornastone`s IT and support infrastructure, and its back-office systems as well as customer-facing expertise," says Nevhutalu.

"As a result of the partnership, Cornastone is evolving to become a one-stop shop for HP solutions, with enhanced technical skills in the country to support high-end HP OpenView service management roll-outs," he says.
