Internet security solution provider Check Point has upgraded its single agent Endpoint Security R72 solution. The company says the new version improves end-user simplicity while advancing endpoint security.

“New technologies for protecting endpoints must be adopted if businesses are to successfully guard themselves against the onslaught of Web-based attacks,” says Sean Wainer, Check Point's local country manager.

“Our focus is to provide not only the most advanced security for customers, but also the most simple and easy end-user experience.”

Differentiating itself from the previous version, Check Point Endpoint Security R72 offers Check Point WebCheck, which delivers browser security. WebCheck provides a dual browser mode that segregates corporate data from the Internet. This allows end-users to surf the Web with full protection against automatically downloaded malware, while keeping it separated and isolated from the corporate and other highly secured Web sites.

In an effort to focus on the end-user experience, Check Point Endpoint Security R72 includes OneCheck authentication and VPN Auto-Connect for enhanced remote access, says Wainer.

OneCheck automatically unlocks all endpoint security subsystems, including Windows login, disk encryption, media encryption and VPN, with a single login. The VPN Auto-Connect offering ensures uninterrupted connectivity for end-users as they move between LAN and wireless connections.

Jonathan Steenland, chief security officer at Fujitsu America, says with so many threats out there, the key to preventing attacks lies in how an enterprise manages its security infrastructure, as well as the protections themselves.

“Check Point offers businesses one endpoint security agent with all the needed protections that can be effectively managed through one console,” he says.
