Embrace ERP enables Agrinet to make four trips to moon and back – in one year
ACS-Embrace was honoured to be invited to attend the grand opening of Agrinet’s new distribution centre in Bellville, Cape Town. The extraordinary gala event was attended by over 200 guests, who were taken on a guided tour through the facility. Representing ACS-Embrace at the event was Ian Foster, Sales and Marketing Director, accompanied by his lovely wife, Michelle.
The modern new facility increases capacity to 37 838 bins across Cape Town and Samrand, carrying over 18 000 product lines.
Embrace ERP, together with its integrated warehouse management system (WMS), has for many years played a critical role in Agrinet’s ability to excel.
Embrace ERP enables Agrinet to efficiently process an average of 2.2 million sales order picks annually! Their delivery fleet travels in excess of 3.3 million kilometres, the equivalent of four trips to the moon and back, cost-effectively making deliveries to over 3 000 locations across southern Africa.
Agrinet has relied on Embrace ERP to help control and manage its business for over 25 years. Regular system upgrades have enabled the company to continually benefit from the latest Embrace functionality and leading-edge technology. There is no doubt that the Embrace suite provides a robust, integrated and scalable ERP, WMS and distribution management solution for Agrinet.
The Embrace WMS roll-out project for the new Bellville distribution centre took place in parallel with the upgrade of Agrinet’s Embrace ERP system, which added significant complexity to the project.
Agrinet’s CEO, Yollande Brits, complimented the Embrace team on the successful roll-out of the Embrace WMS at its new state-of-the-art facility in Bellville, adding that it was a smooth, on-time and in-budget project.
The dedicated teamwork between Agrinet and ACS-Embrace is a core reason that ACS-Embrace is able to continually share in Agrinet’s success and embrace a win-win partnership!
