French audio company Oxygen Audio has one of the smartest iPhone docks around. While car manufacturers fuss over who can offer the best iPod and iPhone integration, Oxygen Audio has developed an entire head unit just for the iPhone.
The O'Car isn't a normal car stereo with iPhone compatibility. Instead, the iPhone is an integral part of the head unit's operation. Gone are the buttons and CD loader. In their place is an iPod dock that can swivel to either landscape or portrait mode.
Using an app, downloaded from the iTunes App Store, users have access to a virtual interface for the device's features, including radio station controls, audio adjustment, music playback (from the music on the iPhone), hands-free calling functionality, Internet music streaming, navigation and more. All while your iPhone charges.
Oxygen Audio says the unit is compatible with the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4.
