Analytic application technology provider ProClarity and Ace Enterprise Slovakia have announced a partnership to provide real-time analytic access to SAP for ProClarity Live Server customers.
Ace Enterprise specialises in building SAP connectivity systems and is collaborating with ProClarity to develop the Ace Enterprise Integrator for seamless integration with ProClarity Live Server to enable real-time connections from Microsoft Excel to SAP R/3 and SAP BW data sources.
"Clients are increasingly expressing interest in integrating SAP data into their reports using ProClarity Live Server," says Keith Jones, MD of Harvey Jones Systems, ProClarity`s local distribution partner. "With the Ace Enterprise Integrator, organisations can quickly define the SAP information they need to access in real-time directly from Excel. This gives users the ability to integrate SAP data with other information and they can write back directly to the SAP data source in a controlled manner."
The combination of ProClarity Live Server and the SAP-certified Ace Enterprise Integrator offers business decision-makers the ability to create and share Excel spreadsheets that combine data directly out of SAP with information from other data sources.
The use of live and persistent connections to the data ensures users always have access to the most up-to-date information.
"SAP data sources provide valuable business information, yet they are traditionally not the easiest resources to access," Jones says. "The Ace Enterprise Integrator allows an organisation to tap its SAP information and analyse it in relation to other data directly in Excel, giving it a more holistic view of its business and enabling executives to make more educated business decisions."
The ProClarity Live Server is a middle-tier server that provides live and persistent connections to a multitude of data sources. It maintains data consistency and security throughout the organisation by providing a centralised point of control.
By enabling both read and write capabilities to data sources in the familiar Excel environment, ProClarity Live Server promotes effective team planning and enables rapid updates of critical business systems.
