Customizer eases implementation

The Open Group, a vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global interoperability within and between enterprises, has released Togaf Customizer, reports PR Newswire.

The Togaf Customizer can be used to implement Togaf version 9 more easily.

Developed and endorsed by the members of The Open Group's Architecture Forum, Togaf 9 represents an industry consensus framework and method for enterprise architecture that is available for use internally by any organisation around the world.

ProVision Connect interfaces with SAP

Metastorm, a business process management (BPM) and enterprise architecture software vendor, has released a software product called Metastorm ProVision Connect for SAP, says TMCnet.

Company officials say it is designed to be "an interface between the Metastorm ProVision enterprise architecture and business process analysis suite and SAP Solution Manager".

The company added that it is designed to "accelerate the design and deployment of solutions running on SAP and help customers gain a broader picture on how their SAP processes are interlinked to other assets in the organisation".

BT is in the cloud

BT is about to formally release a virtualised infrastructure service called BT Virtual Data Centre (VDC), which will form the basis of its cloud-computing strategy, reports BusinessWeek.

VDC involves the virtualisation of servers, storage, networks and security delivered to customers via an online portal as cloud-based services.

The customer roll-out of VDC will initially target multinational corporate customers and the public sector, the company says.
