ITWeb has secured Tichaona Zororo, a digital transformation and innovation advisory director at EGIT (Enterprise Governance of IT), as keynote speaker for the event. Zororo is the first COBIT 5 Certified Assessor in southern Africa and the 40th worldwide.

According to Angela Mace, CRM and events director at ITWeb, securing Zororo is a real coup, as he is one of the top governance, risk and compliance experts on the continent, as well as the first person from Africa to not only sit on the ISACA board of directors, but to chair its Audit & Risk Committee. He is also the youngest person to become the president of the ISACA South Africa Chapter.

He is also an adviser to numerous global boards and executives on their role in using emerging technologies to create enterprise value through digital transformation, governance and management of enterprise IT, IT risk, cybersecurity and IT auditing.

ITWeb GRC 2020

Register today for the ITWeb Governance, Risk and Compliance 2020 conference, to be held on 25 February at The Forum in Bryanston. During the event, delegates will hear from industry experts, thought leaders and GRC practitioners about how to manage a complex regulatory and risk environment in a technologically driven world. “It doesn’t stop there,” Mace adds. “He also sits on a number of audit and risk board committees in SA, including the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) and Setsoto Local Municipality.”

She says Zororo is one of many experts who will share their knowledge and experience with the audience at the event, and will help guide local businesses along their governance, risk and compliance (GRC) journeys.

“At ITWeb’s 10th annual GRC conference, experts such as Zororo will examine how IT governance, compliance and risk professionals can efficiently deploy automated GRC strategies that support the organisations’ existing data governance objectives,” she concludes.
