South Africa’s business leaders are clamouring to get their hands on Lenovo’s newest flagship Titanium X1 devices – the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga and X1 Fold – reports Lenovo distributor Axiz.

“There is a lot of excitement in the local market about the evolved X1 portfolio,” reports Jaya Jadhu – head of the Lenovo business unit at Axiz, and Tracey Kuhn – Lenovo product manager at Axiz.

Axiz says the unusual levels of excitement are due to the X1 range’s premium looks, performance and overall computing experience. “Lenovo has put many years of R&D into both the technology and the user experience, and these devices are designed to deliver the ‘best of the best experience',” says Jadhu.

The X1 range is ideal for enterprise leaders who demand top quality devices, but need them to be light, sleek, highly mobile and optimised for conferencing and collaboration. The enhanced battery life and security features are also a compelling proposition for executives who need always-on reliability and who are entrusted with highly sensitive information.

The 13.5-inch ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga 2-in-1 laptop is built with the Intel Evo platform with 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processors, has minimum 16GB memory and up to 1TB SSD for an exceptional experience, and features a 2K (2256 x 1504) display and Intel Iris Xe graphics to render amazing clarity and colour accuracy.

Offering around 10 hours of battery life, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga optimises productivity, and an optimal video conferencing experience is enabled by Dolby Atmos Speakers, Dolby Vision HDR Displays, Dolby Voice, 4 x 360-degree microphones and 4 x user-facing speakers. In addition, Low Blue Light (TUV) technology helps prevent eye fatigue, and WiFi 6 and 5G ensures fast, always-on connectivity. For security, X1 devices include human detection sensors, an integrated privacy screen and a power-on fingerprint reader.

The winner of 43 CES awards, the new ThinkPad X1 Fold is the world’s first foldable PC, engineered to fold like a book and serve as either a tablet or laptop. The device features a 13.3-inch 2K OLED 4:3 (2048 x 1536, 300 nits) DCI-P3 95% touchscreen, Intel Core i5 with Intel Hybrid Technology processor, 8GB LPDDR4X 4267MHz memory, up to 1TB PCIe-NVMe M.2 2242 SSD storage and delivers up to 10 hours battery life – all in a sleek, lightweight package wrapped in an authentic black leather folio cover. The optional Lenovo Fold Mini Keyboard and Lenovo Mod Pen accessories can attach magnetically to the X1 Fold, to keep the user’s ‘mobile office’ tidy and together.

The latest additions beautifully round out the X1 portfolio, which also includes the 14-inch X1 Carbon, the 14-inch X1 Yoga and the 13-inch X1 Nano.
