Maredi Technologies' 10-year rise to operational excellence

The starting point of our operational performance journey is about getting to the heart of who we are and what we do really well. For our company, this is an introspective process that entails identifying the gaps within the current state of our operations management processes and assessing our organisational characteristics. We then ask whether they align with our essential business values of employee focus and customer-centricity.

Achieving scalable change in the company has always been an important business strategy, and we have always understood that it requires us to embrace and acclimatise more quickly to change. However, to embrace change, businesses need to embrace problem-solving, and problem-solving is a by-product of effective leadership and organisational culture. 

As a company, we continue to focus on refining and optimising our operational processes, and on delivering quality services and products. However, we have realised that we cannot sustain an efficient operational process if we concentrate solely on performing a series of activities and tasks. It has to be more than that. It has to include changing mindsets. We consider the mindset change of our employees to be a critical component of how we successfully translate our operational strategy into our organisational culture.

The role of leadership is key in driving and maintaining the correct mindset within the organisation. Leadership is also important in creating a business climate where employees feel valued and appreciated. A people-centric business creates a conducive environment where employees respond better and embrace change. 

We Maredi Technologies are passionate about our people and committed to their growth and development. Furthermore, we believe they are essential in delivering quality customer service.

On 13 February 2020, the country tuned in to listen to President Cyril Ramaphosa answer the most pertinent question: What is the state of our nation? This question has motivated us all to confront the reality of SA's economy and its people. 

In terms of growing Maredi Technologies, our journey towards achieving operational excellence also motivated us to ask: “What is the state of our business?" It has inspired us to focus on the company and ask what we do well, what we can improve on and, most importantly, what sets us apart.

Maredi Technologies, defined by its people, its customer-centric focus, its aim of delivering quality products, and the power of its partnership, is what sets us apart. This year, we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, a remarkable milestone in our extraordinary journey. Ten years for us symbolises our rise and continued journey to becoming the number one ICT partner of choice in SA. 

In 2020, we will continue to pursue meaningful and lasting change in our business, and we will continue to meet and exceed the expectations of all our customers. We believe that our focus on achieving excellence in operational performance, as shown in our results, is key to the steady and accelerated trajectory towards long-term operational success. 

This is a trajectory that we at Maredi Technologies will continue to follow in 2020. It's a strategy for business success that we intend to maintain.
