Netscope, the leading provider of Internet related, certified training and education, today announced the addition of the i-Net+ certification to its line up of i-Training course offerings.
The i-Net+ certification was researched and developed as a vendor-neutral, entry-level Internet certification program, endorsed by CompTIA, that tests baseline technical knowledge of Internet, Intranet and Extranet topics, independent of specific Internet-related career roles. Learning objectives and domains examined include Internet basics, Internet clients, development, networking, security and e-business concepts.
"We specifically choose to offer the i-Net+ certification program as it is ideally suited for any individual interested in demonstrating baseline technical Internet knowledge that would allow them to pursue a variety of Internet-related careers", says Netscope`s Managing Director, Jason Perthel. "This certification program validates entry-level knowledge of Internet technology and has been introduced as a prerequisite to the Netscope iMCSE and iMCSD courses". He added, "One of the reasons why we chose to make the i-Net+ a prerequisite to our Developer and Network courses, is that its scope and curriculum cover a broad range of topics that are typically lacking in traditional certification programs. For the first time, we can see the clear introduction of soft-skill topics, such as Law, Marketing and Accounting principles that contribute to an overall education experience."
This certification is primarily aimed at Internet Systems Administrators, tasked with managing a corporate Internet or Intranet infrastructure, Internet Security Specialists tasked with implementing and maintaining security and audit policies, Internet E-Commerce Specialists, who need to design transaction-based systems including commerce, inventory and workflow-related systems and Internet Network Specialists that manage and tune hardware, connectivity, network protocols, routing and switching.
