CompTIA, the leading trade association for the global technology industry, is preparing to host the third biennial Partner Awards event, in Johannesburg, on 3 October 2019 at La Toscana, Montecasino. Mthunzi Mdwaba, Deal Maker, Negotiator and Global Spirit, will be the MC for the event.

The biennial CompTIA South Africa Partner Awards event recognises the contribution of training partners and corporate customers to skills development in South Africa, using the industry recognised CompTIA certifications.

Highlights of the evening will be the coveted CompTIA Partner of the Year award, both for delivery partners and academic partners. Nominations for the Delivery Partner of the Year are Boston City Campus & Business College, which won the award in 2015; CTU Training Solutions, which won the award in 2017; Bytes People Solutions; and IT Certification Academy.

Nominations for the Academic Partner of the Year award are T-Systems ICT Academy, which won the award in 2015 and again in 2017; Thokoza Progressive Youth Innovation; and Thekwini TVET College.

“This year, we included recognition of the contribution individuals make to CompTIA and skills development,” said Loraine Vorster, vice-president for CompTIA Southern Africa/ANZ. “We included two new award categories for Trainer of the Year and Business Development Manager of the Year, showcasing individuals that go beyond their job description to uplift skills.”
