Rural development minister Thoko Didiza says she is appalled at the “thuggery” that took place at the department’s Limpopo office.

This after the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development in Limpopo became the victim of theft this week.

Perpetrators broke-in and stole over 100 laptops from the rural development department’s office. The laptops were meant to be utilised by the department.

In a statement, Didiza calls on anyone with information on the matter to contact law enforcement agencies. “The incident has been reported to the law enforcement agencies, who are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to book.

“The minister calls on the law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned in searching for the perpetrators.”

Anyone with information has been urged to contact sergeant Maphutha Ngoepe on 082 685 9507 or colonel Linkie Mathebula on 064 756 8218,

Alternatively, contact the crime stop number on 08600 10111.
