SPI, the African distributor for utility software products and services to the open systems segment of the IT industry, today announced that the Automobile Association of South Africa (AA) had implemented Help/Systems’ GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer software. The product suite consists of Managed File Transfer software for both SFTP and FTPS, the GoAnywhere Gateway Proxy and several copies of GoDrive.

“We were looking for a secure file automation system that would also allow us to comply with legislation such as data privacy regulations and PCI DSS,” commented Jaco van der Merwe, General Manager: IT at AA. “The GoAnywhere software provided that capability and in the process, allowed us to increase the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of our organisation.”

“We have been a partner for Help/Systems for some while and were very excited when they acquired Linoma Software and the latter’s GoAnywhere products,” concluded Chris Anderson, Managing Director of SPI. “We believe the market has been wanting this type of software capability for some time and we were delighted that AASA has decided to implement it.”
