Dynamic Technologies creatively digitises (very) early learners

Johannesburg, 17 Aug 2020

Blue Pencil Creative, a Dynamic Technologies company, has provided Cotlands NPO with a digital education solution. Cotlands provides pre-school children with safe-play and early learning environments by utilising toy libraries and play groups. Through this programme, Cotlands helps communities throughout nine provinces in South Africa, where an estimated 3 million to 4 million children lack access to pre-school facilities. Cotlands is on a mission to reduce this number and improve the standard of pre-school education.

Cotlands’ ELFs (early learning facilitators) require formal training with a recognised certification to maximise their effectiveness with these young and vulnerable students. Blue Pencil Creative designed and implemented an entirely digital SETA/QCTO-accredited ECD (early childhood development) certified training programme, for Cotlands to provide ELFs with this training experience.

This digital programme is interactive and experiential, allowing students to work at their own pace, anywhere, on any device. The programme offers a gateway into formal education based on workplace experience and through recognition of prior learning. These courses are much more affordable and accessible than existing classroom-based training.
