VOIP roadshow comes to town

Johannesburg, 05 Feb 2008
Even Flow Distribution, a distributor of voice over IP (VOIP) and IP telephony hardware, is hosting a national VOIP Technology Roadshow from 21 to 28 February, in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

"The aim of the roadshow is to introduce to and educate the IT channel on the latest hardware solutions," explains Adrian Bush, MD of Even Flow Distribution.

"It is difficult to keep up with new technologies at the best of times," he states. "But, with a new industry like VOIP the challenge is that much more.

"Change is evident in VOIP and IP telephony in SA. The first consumer VOIP services are being launched, Asterisk and other IP PBX solutions are gaining huge popularity and the market is reaching a more mature state."

He believes this growth is likely to continue exponentially as the technology develops and more players enter the market.

"The roadshow will present a great opportunity for resellers to have hands-on exposure to new, revolutionary VOIP hardware solutions available in SA," he says.

The roadshow will include the latest product offerings from brands such as Siemens, Snom, Epygi, Vegastream, Asterisk and others, Bush says.

"As there is little in the way of an industry event, the roadshow also allows resellers in the industry to come together and share relevant experiences and gain insight from each other."
