Samsung in A3 expansion drive

Midwich and Westcoast have been awarded distribution of A3 multi-function printers and peripherals from Samsung, following a competitive tender, says V3.

Dion Smith, general manager at Samsung's UK imaging and printing group, says: “Until now, Samsung has focused solely on delivering A4 printers and MFDs for the business and consumer market.”

It had been investing in R&D, and has now released its first A3 colour MFPs, the MultiXpress range based on an open architecture platform with a view to improved interoperability, through distribution.

Lexmark releases inkjet platform printer

Lexmark International, a provider of a broad range of printing and imaging products, software, solutions and services, has enhanced its inkjet all-in-one (AIO) product line-up with the release of Lexmark Genesis, writes Smart Products.

Lexmark introduced its line-up of Web-connected, AIO inkjet printers last year. The Lexmark line of inkjet AIOs proved to be the perfect printing technology designed for today's wireless, Web-connected workplace, according to company officials.

The Lexmark Genesis is built on the same inkjet platform. The new product, according to Lexmark, is designed to target professionals, small business and home office customers who are looking for a device that has innovative technology, is highly productive and is also bold and stylish.

Canon India avails HD portfolio

Canon India has revealed the release of 22 high-definition consumer digital imaging products to widen its product portfolio in India and to further accelerate the industry's transformation in terms of product innovation and technology, states India Infonline.

In the second product release of the year just before the festival Diwali, Canon India introduced an array of digital compact cameras, camcorders, lenses and inkjet all-in-one printers to strengthen its portfolio for deepening and widening its technology reach.

The company has successfully closed its first nine months performance with an impressive growth of 56%.
