AWCape's Industrial Engineering division provided a smart and cost-effective integration between Mason's "Back to School" Web site and the company's Sage 300 (Accpac) system that delivered on AWCape's promise to improve on its client's business efficiency.

Mason Complete Office Solutions (www.mason-cos.co.za), established in 1913 as printing company Galvin & Sales, has evolved to a company providing a complete office solution to corporates, government, parastatals, schools, hospitals and professionals.
Mason has about 20 schools subscribing to its Back to School programme, including schools such as Herschel High School, Pinelands High School, Pinelands North Primary School, Bergvliet Primary School and Star College. The original e-commerce solution used by Mason consisted of a system whereby participating schools visited the Mason Web site, logged in and placed their stationery orders. The orders posted to the Back to School Web site were then captured by hand into Sage 300's Sales Order Entry system, processed and delivered some weeks down the line. Additional data capturers had to be employed during the order season, which continued for several weeks.
With AWCape's smart integration installed, the subscribers can view stock prices, capture and post their orders, which immediately creates a sales order in Sage 300 (Accpac) Order Entry, with no human intervention.
Boulle commented: "What usually took us weeks to capture during the start of the school season is now fully automated, including verification functionality. Orders are now captured automatically with no risk of human error, resulting in large savings to our business."
