Open source specialist LSD Information Technology today announced that it has been named a Red Hat Training Partner for Middleware in South Africa. LSD is currently the only certified organisation in South Africa to offer local certified Red Hat JBoss Middleware training courses.
LSD has a long-standing relationship with Red Hat, initially as a Red Hat Infrastructure Partner in 2009, followed by its appointment as a Red Hat Certified Training Partner for Platform in July 2010. Later, the company became the first Red Hat Premier Business Partner with Middleware specialisation in South Africa, responsible for implementation and support covering the Red Hat JBoss Middleware portfolio.
As a Red Hat Premier Business Partner, LSD has completed several successful Red Hat JBoss Middleware project implementations within large financial and telecommunication companies in South Africa. Backed by this experience, the company decided to build capabilities in this space, as part of its dedicated middleware division launched in 2012.
To attain the latest certification and be able to deliver Red Hat JBoss Middleware training, LSD trainers attended rigorous training courses and achieved certification in Red Hat JBoss Middleware products, followed by a 'train the trainer' program, as well as passing relevant examinations.

LSD runs a public schedule of courses with formats ranging from classroom sessions within the LSD premises, to online and off-site trainings. The course duration ranges from four days to five days.
