Beyond the box: why printer after-sales is half the deal

In more ways than one, buying a printer is like buying a vehicle - when you weigh your options you look at price, speed, fuel consumption, capacity and features, says Taropa Technologies.

"You rely on your dealer to provide the best service and to keep your vehicle on the road at all times. But it's easier said than done, and very few companies truly go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy uninterrupted business at all times. Therefore, when choosing the right printer for your business, it's just as important to choose the right accredited printer partner," says Morgan Bleasdale, Solutions Specialist at Taropa Technologies.

Without regular maintenance, your multi-function printer (MFP) will stop running effectively and cost your business downtime that will in effect result in lost productivity, he says.

"You can have the best MFP on the market, but if you don't have the backup that will go the extra mile to prevent paper jams, then it's no use," says Bleasdale. "Dealers need to be proactive in their approach to replacing spares and service equipment at regular intervals."

"Taropa ensures that their dealers are trained on the latest solutions and product knowledge to assist their customers with confidence. We believe that customer-centricity starts with us: the solutions we offer, regular certified training we provide, parts on hand and efficiently distributing the latest technologically advanced Samsung MFPs", says Sarah le Roux, Director at Taropa Technologies.

"Since our establishment in 2007, we have gained expertise in the market and now deal with over 300 dealers nationwide. We pride ourselves in offering class-leading support, that allow our dealers to take their business and customer service to the next level," Le Roux says.

"Although companies are trying to reduce their printing and take on a paperless system, businesses today still require MFPs to operate on a day-to-day basis. They are becoming less worried about the regular functions of print, copy, fax and scan and more interested in Android-operated systems, cloud printing and printer apps. Therefore, the need for a customer-centric, accredited printer partner is becoming more evident," says Le Roux.
