velocity group has added the Stratus Technologies Absolute Availability and the Nimbus Data Sustainable Storage offerings to the Enterprise Solutions portfolio. The move forms part of a strategy to add solutions that complement customers' server and desktop virtualisation as well as private and hybrid cloud strategies.
The Nimbus Sustainable Storage platform also goes a long way to address customers' green IT initiatives by reducing the power and cooling requirements that constrict large storage environments.
The existing relationships with traditional vendors such as HP, IBM and Dell remain in place, and these new solutions augment the traditional large vendors strategies in this space.
"Absolute availability and ultra-fast flash storage will become key factors as our customers move more and more of their critical workloads back to the data centre in a consolidated environment. We are ensuring that we can minimise the downtime and performance risk associated with virtualisation strategies," said Clayton Porter, National Sales Manager, velocity group.
