Quocirca's Managed Print Services Landscape 2017 report confirms that Ricoh is a leader for the sixth consecutive year.
The report says Ricoh's global infrastructure, already a key factor in its leadership in empowering digital workplaces, has improved.
"Quocirca also singled out our global alignment and project management process consistency as a major enhancement that led to once more being named an MPS leader," says Jacques van Wyk, COO of Ricoh SA. "That, coupled to our adaptive model supported by solutions architects who leverage their industry expertise to accurately ascertain customer requirements as they shift to less paper-intensive operations, is a winning formula."
Quocirca also notes that Ricoh has one of the market's largest service operations, with more than 30 000 service professionals operating in 198 countries and covering 95% of Fortune Global 500 customers.
"This year, Ricoh continued to improve its credentials to serve the evolving workplace," says Louella Fernandes, Associate Director, Quocirca. "Quocirca recognised Ricoh as a leader among MPS providers because of its work to align its global and regional strategies to address the diverse needs of both enterprises and SMBs by offering a wide range of scalable services, which both feature and build upon MPS."
Ricoh's MPS offerings operate under its Ricoh Managed Document Services (MDS) portfolio, supported by five regional MDS competency centres to help provide continuity and quality of service.
Ricoh MDS goes beyond foundational managed print services (MPS) because it works with its customers to adapt and optimise information processes to boost efficiency and address information security concerns. That enables enterprises to tackle the rising costs associated with an unmanaged print infrastructure and foster process efficiencies in a new, digitalised world of work.
Quocirca's report highlighted Ricoh's centrally managed multivendor infrastructure that enables real-time check-ins on printer fleet status, the ability to gather important data, and generate benchmark and SLA comparative reports.
The comprehensive, transparent, multivendor approach is characteristic of Ricoh's body of MPS work. Ricoh offers customers a wide range of services, including application services, business process services, communication services, intelligent delivery services, learning services, legal document processing and electronic discovery services, IT infrastructure services, production print services, sustainability management services, workplace services, and of course MDS.
"It's gratifying to have an analyst firm with Quocirca's credentials recognise our effort to align global infrastructure to help people work smarter no matter where they are in the world. Today's evolving digital workplaces demand that businesses evolve our own ways of interacting with and using information," says Van Wyk.
