execMobile (www.execmobile.co.za) announced today that they will be a sponsor to the African MTB Team. Team riders, Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes, winners of the 2017 Cape Epic Africa Jersey and 7th overall last year, are looking to make it onto the podium in this year's race.
"African MTB Team is an idea and dream that we started working on since 2013. Philip raced one season as an individual rider and soon realised that key to performance lies with the people around you and the support structures they offer," Matthys notes.
From there on Matthys, Ruan (Team Manager) and Philip started riding together as a team and over the years partnered with sponsors that share the same vision.
execMobile's partnership with cycling started last year when they assisted Dimension Data with roaming data connectivity at the Tour de France.
"This year, we provided connectivity in the team cars at Le Tour," notes Dejay Swanepoel, Business Manager at execMobile. "Next year, execMobile has even bigger plans to assist Dimension Data company Britehouse to provide even better connectivity during the tour, to the team, the supprters and customers travelling to the event.
"The sponsorship of the African MTB Team is the beginning of a journey for execMobile. Their Academy is something we would like to also support. After all, cycling is the new golf, and many of our customers and partners would welcome this support of African and South African cycling teams," concludes Swanepoel.
