With the proliferation of mobile devices in the workplace, ensuring the full life cycle management of devices across the enterprise is an increasing concern for IT managers. Quintica will unpack this challenge for visitors at the ITWeb Mobility Summit this month.

The event will be hosted on 22 May at The Forum, in Bryanston, and attracts senior IT professionals and business decision-makers across a wide spectrum of industries, providing a platform to discuss and engage around the business benefits of mobility.

"Mobility is a game changer, and we, as an industry, need to start working with our customers to ensure we provide them with technologies that will enable them to better manage and monitor the use of mobile devices in their organisations," states Kerry Evans, MD at Quintica.

"Partnering with BMC, we are able to offer our customers access to solutions that not only assist with the identification and management of these devices on the corporate network, but also ensure they are able to include them as an extension of their business applications.

"The battle to try and keep mobile devices out of the enterprise has been lost. It is now our duty to explore how we can incorporate them securely and turn their pervasiveness into a productivity advantage for our customers," she adds.

The solutions Quintica will be showcasing at the summit include the BMC Mobile Device Management suite, BMC MyIT and the BMC Mobile Device Content Locker.

The BMC Mobile Device Management suite enables a business to securely manage the mobile device life cycle from a single console - regardless of device type or mobile operating system.

BMC MyIT is a contemporary, mobile user interface between enterprise IT service consumers and IT service delivery that increases productivity of end-users and IT. MyIT unifies sources of information already available in IT and presents this information in more consumable ways to extend previous boundaries of self- service and motivate much wider adoption across the entire enterprise.

BMC Mobile Device Content Locker enables employees to securely access corporate resources on the go from their Apple iOS and Android tablet devices.

"When one approaches mobility as an extension to your business, and incorporates it into your strategy from the onset, you will not only be able to control it from the get-go, you will also be able to own the process and reap the productivity benefits it promises right from the start."
